The Single Room Supplement cost is in addition to the twin sharing cost for those who would like a single room. Fly to Beijing, the political, economic and cultural centre of the People’s Republic of China.
Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be met for your transportation to the hotel. Receive assistance with check-in and have the remainder of the day at your leisure.
This morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then meet your guide in the hotel lobby to start your full day tour of the city. Today’s tour includes guided tours of Tiananmen Square, and Forbidden City, and a visit to the hutong neighbourhoods for insight into an historic area of Beijing that is fading fast. The hutong tour is conducted on foot and by pedicab.

Your local guide will meet you at the hotel to start your full day out together. Today’s tour includes a guided visit to the Great Wall of China with time to discover and climb the wall at your leisure. Upon returning to the city, a visit will be made at the Summer Palace before returning to the hotel for the evening at your leisure.

This morning, spend some time at Beijing’s famed Temple of Heaven followed by a tour of the Capital Museum before your flight to the city of Yichang where you will embark on your 4 night cruise along China’s mother river, the Yangtze.
The ship departs the pier in the morning. Pass through Xiling Gorge, take a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam, and enjoy some R & R on board. This evening, a welcome dinner is included on board. An optional excursion on own account will be offered by the cruiseline.
We arrive at Badong and disembark for the Shennong Stream excursion and see hanging coffins, natural scenery and hear Tuja Songs. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains and cliffs. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic of all the gorges. An optional excursion will be offered, on own account, to the White Emperor City.
The appeal of the Yangtze lies not only in the river’s great natural beauty, but also its cultural and historical ties, which link nearby communities with the life-giving waters. An excursion to Fengdu “Ghost town” is included today. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner on board.
Disembark the cruise ship in the city of Chongqing and then meet and transfer to the train station for your high speed train journey to Chengdu. On arrival, visit the Wenshu Temple, and explore the Kuan and Zhai alleys of old Chengdu. Also, take some time to stroll about historic Jinli Street and Renmin Park. Check-in to your hotel for your one night stay.
This morning, visit the Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding for an up close and personal look at China’s native bear. Take the afternoon high speed train to Xian and then transfer to the hotel for the evening free at your leisure.
This morning, head to the extraordinary site of the Terra Cotta Warriors for a guided tour of the museum before returning to the city for a walk about the bustling old quarter. Later, take some time to marvel at the Tang Dynasty inspired cultural pedestrian streets offering further insight into the Tang period, of which Xian (or Chang’an) was capital.

Head to one of Xian’s landmarks the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for a walk and discovery of the energetic square nearby, and then stop at the City Wall, one of the few of China’s old city walls still standing. Afterwards, you’ll be driven to the airport for your flight to Guilin. The evening is free at your leisure.
Start the day with a scenic boat trip down the Li River offering 30 miles of mist shrouded mountains rising from the riverbanks. Your boat trip is approximately 4 hours on board a shared river boat offering simple comforts and lunch while admiring the stunning scenery along the river before arriving in the colorful town of Yangshuo. Take some time with your guide to acquaint yourself and then head off on your own to discover this charming riverside town. Reconvene at the appointed time with your guide and group members and head back to your hotel in Guilin.

This morning, see the city’s icon, the Elephant Trunk Hill, a natural stone landmark in the shape of an elephant refreshing itself in the river, and then visit the Reed Flute Cave before heading to the airport for your flight to Hangzhou. On arrival, you'll be met and then transferred to the hotel for check-in.
Take a walk through a Tea Plantation, see one of China’s most notable Buddhist Temples, Ling Yin Temple, take a boat ride on fabled West Lake, and then enjoy some time walking about the Huagang Park and the old street of Qinghefang. Lunch & dinner are included.
After breakfast at the hotel, head to Suzhou where you will enjoy a tour of the city. Visit the impressive Suzhou Museum, built by renowned architect I.M. Pei, and then take a stroll through the typical Qing Dynasty-style Lingering Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, take some time to discover Pingjiang Road, an ancient street with shops, cafes, teahouses, and an artsy feel. Later, stop at the Silk Factory and learn about the city’s history of silk production accompanied by silk demonstrations.
Depart Suzhou for Shanghai this morning. En route, stop in the water village of Tongli for a guided visit before continuing on to your hotel in Shanghai.
Visit the colonial Bund waterfront, lining the Huangpu River with unimpeded views of the modern Pudong Skyline, and then take in the impressive Shanghai Museum before a stroll through the historic & trendy Xintiandi neighbhourhood, a bar, restaurant, café & entertainment district. Among the main features of the district are the mid 19th century Shikumen, or Stone Gate, buildings flanking narrow alleys and streets. Walk about the Yu Garden and the nearby bazaar among the historic architecture of the old city, and then have some shopping time along pedestrian friendly Nanjing Road.
