Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be met for your transportation to the hotel. Receive assistance with check-in and have the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Your local guide will meet you at the hotel to start your full day out together. Today’s tour includes a guided visit to the Great Wall of China with time to discover and climb the wall at your leisure. Upon returning to the city, a visit will be made at the Summer Palace before returning to the hotel for the evening at your leisure.

This morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then meet your guide in the hotel lobby to start your full day tour of the city. Today’s tour includes guided tours of the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, and Forbidden City, and a visit to the hutong neighbourhoods for insight into an historic area of Beijing that is fading fast. The hutong tour is conducted on foot and by pedicab.

This morning, meet at the hotel for transportation to the airport for your flight to Xian. On your arrival in Xian, you’ll be met to start your orientation of the city. Take a stroll through the lively streets of the old quarter nearby the Bell & Drum Towers and then head to one of Xian’s landmarks, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, for a walk and discovery of the energetic square nearby before a photostop at the City Wall, one of the few of China’s old city walls still standing. Today's lunch will be a dumpling banquet showcasing one of Xian's specialities.

This morning, head to the extraordinary site of the Terra Cotta Warriors for a guided tour with insightful commentary and time to wander about at your leisure. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight to the city of Chongqing, your embarkation point to your three night cruise on China’s mother river, the Yangtze. On your arrival in Chongqing, meet for transportation to a local restaurant for dinner followed by a transfer to the pier to board your river cruise ship.
Enjoy your breakfast & lunch on board and some time to relax before your afternoon shore excursion to Shibaozhai, a red hillside temple contrasting nicely with the lush foliage and rocky face of the hill. In addition, an optional excursion, on own account, will be offered to the Fengdu ‘Ghost City’.
We arrive at Badong and disembark for the Shennong Stream excursion and see hanging coffins, natural scenery and hear Tuja Songs. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains and cliffs. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic of all the gorges. An optional excursion will be offered, on own account, to the White Emperor City.
Visit the Three Gorges Dam Site then pass through the Three Gorges Dam 5-stage Shiplocks, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. You will disembark around noon and then transfer to the airport for your flight to Hangzhou where you will be met and then transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Enjoy a guided city tour as you take a walk through a Tea Plantation, see one of China’s most notable Buddhist Temples, Ling Yin Temple, take a oat ride on fabled West Lake, and then enjoy some time walking about the Huagang Park and the old street of Qinghefang. Afterwards, transfer to the city of Suzhou where you will check-in and have the evening free at your leisure.
This morning, visit the impressive Suzhou Museum, built by renowned architect I.M. Pei, and then take a stroll through the typical Qing Dynasty-style Lingering Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, take some time to discover Pingjiang Road, an ancient street with shops, cafes, teahouses, and an artsy feel. A boat ride on the Grand Canal is included. Later, stop at the Silk Factory and learn about the city’s history of silk production accompanied by silk demonstrations.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then meet for transportation by road to Shanghai where you’ll enjoy a city tour. Visit the colonial Bund waterfront, lining the Huangpu River with unimpeded views of the modern Pudong Skyline, and then take in the impressive Shanghai Museum before a stroll through the historic & trendy Xintiandi neighbhourhood, a bar, restaurant, café & entertainment district. Among the main features of the district are the mid 19th century Shikumen, or Stone Gate, buildings flanking narrow alleys and streets. Walk about the Yu Garden and the nearby bazaar among the historic architecture of the old city, and then have some shopping time along pedestrian friendly Nanjing Road.
