“We were greatly impressed with the service all through our vacation. We found people always very nice and always helpful, even beyond expectations. Of course, Japan's culture is extraordinary, and we are both still having dreams about our experiences there.

Meet at the hotel for your half-day Tokyo city tour. During your tour, visit the Tokyo Tower and climb to the main observatory 145 m (476 ft) high for a panoramic view from Japan's second tallest artificial structure. Make a short stop at the official residence of the Emperor of Japan, the Imperial Palace Plaza, who is regarded as the highest authority in the Shinto religion as Japanese mythology states he is a direct descendant of Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun. Walk along a colorful Nakamise promenade clamoring with traditional food stands and souvenir shops, which leads up to Tokyo's oldest and most significant Buddhist temple, Sensoji, with a history of over 1300 years. Drive through Ueno, a laid-back area famous for its museums and zoo, and your tour disbands at Akihabara or Tokyo station. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
Meet at your hotel and depart for Mt. Fuji. Visit the Fuji Visitor Center and learn about current weather conditions, the history, formation, and ecology of Mt. Fuji through exhibits and movies. The second floor observatory deck provides views of Mt. Fuji from up close. Travel 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level and on a clear day marvel at the breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding lakes from Fuji’s 5th Station. Torii gates, shrines, and souvenir shops decorate this station known as the border between the heavens and earth. Enjoy a nice Japanese-style lunch and then take a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. This crater lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles. Catch sweeping views of Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Izu Peninsula, Izu Islands, Hakone National Park, and more while climbing up and down the mountain on the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway, and then head to Odawara Station for your train journey to Kyoto. On arrival check-in to your hotel for your three night stay.
Enjoy a full day tour of Kyoto & Nara. Tour the historical Nijo Castle, completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and then visit the Golden Pavillion, designated as a National Special Historic Site and National Special Landscape, with 2 floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating three distinct styles of shinden, samurai, and zen. Stop at the Kyoto Imperial Palace and gain exclusive access to the former residence of the Emperor of Japan. After a Japanese-style lunch, head to Nara and visit the Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) & Nara Park. Behold the world's largest bronze statue, the Great Buddha, whose tremendous height of 14.98 m (49.1 ft) required over 3,000 metal plates and nearly 10 years to create. See the Kasuga Taisha Shrine and study the thousands of stone lanterns that line the path to this serene shrine hidden in the woods, and enjoy some time spent at Nara Nagomikan for some leisurely shopping before returning to your hotel in Kyoto.
