Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by your local guide in the arrivals area holding a name-board. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Experience a half day orientation tour of Bangkok including the bustling Chao Phraya River and the quiet Klongs (canals) in a long tail boat, a stop at the riverside Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), and a guided tour of the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). The afternoon is free at your leisure. Note: Tour does not operate on Sundays.
Take the full day to visit the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya, situated approximately 75 kilometres north of Bangkok. You'll head out by private car and take a guided tour of this impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning back to Bangkok via comfortable cruiser (shared) with lunch served on board.
You'll be met at the hotel for transportation to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. On your arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in and have the day free at your leisure.
The trip starts with a pleasant 15km drive up 3,500 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the city, where a bird’s eye view of the entire city and surrounding area can be seen from the temple grounds. Continue along a mountain road to visit a hill tribe village for a guided walking tour before returning to the city. A Thai lunch is included today followed by a tour around Chiang Mai with stops at temples, old city walls, gates, a moat, and the local market. Afterwards, return to your hotel for the evening free at your leisure.
Meet at the hotel for your full day Elephant Learning excursion at the Elephant Nature Park (group tour). This is a group excursion. A picturesque drive through agricultural Thai countryside, along Mae Taeng Valley brings you to Elephant Nature Park. You will hear the personal stories of rescued elephants as told by expert guides. You will learn about the problems elephants face in Southeast Asia, and how the Elephant Nature Park is helping in the treatment, and care of Thailand's dwindling elephant population. After unloading and distributing some fruit you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform. A sumptuous buffet lunch is included today. Walk with the staff to the river along the park for bathing time. After learning how to safely and properly bathe an elephant, plunge right in and help scrub these giants as they splash around. If going into the river is not for you then watch the elephants bathe and play while you stay dry on the sandy shore. Around 5pm it's time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before the hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Fly to Krabi in Southern Thailand via Bangkok and be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of your stay in Krabi is at your leisure.
