Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by your local guide in the arrivals area holding a name-board. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Take the full day out with your guide for visits to the Grand Palace and nearby Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Reclining Buddha Temple of Wat Pho, a boat ride on the Chao Phraya River, a stop at the riverside Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), a walking tour through bustling Chinatown, and the temple of Wat Traimit, known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. A Thai lunch is included during the tour. Note: Tour does not operate on Sundays.
Take the full day to visit the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya, situated approximately 75 kilometres north of Bangkok. You'll head out by private car and take a guided tour of this impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning back to Bangkok via comfortable cruiser (shared) with lunch served on board.
Fly north to the city of Chiang Rai where you'll be met for transportation to the hotel and the day free at your leisure.
Visit Akha & Yao minority villages with your guide providing insight into local traditions and customs while taking a leisurely walk through the community before heading to Mae Sai, the northernmost trading border town between Thailand and Burma. Take a walk about, see the shops and stores and then head to the Golden Triangle area where you’ll enjoy a Thai lunch. See the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet, and then visit Chiang Saen located on the steep banks of the Mekong River. You'll explore the ruins of this once powerful city founded in the 10th century, and then return to your hotel for the evening free at your leisure.
Depart your hotel in the morning for your scenic drive approximately 3 hours to Chiang Mai. En route stop to see the famed White Temple.
Early this morning, drive to the Kruba Sri Vichai Statue, a holy monk of Northern Thailand, to take part in the daily Buddhist ceremony ‘Tak Bat’ or ‘Merit Making’ by giving offerings to monks on their alms-rounds. Afterwards, head to the local market and take a rickshaw to visit Wat Chedi Luang, one of Chiang Mai's most notable temples. Return to the hotel for breakfast, and some time at your leisure, and then depart with your guide to see the mountaintop Doi Suthep Temple, explore other key city temples, see the remains of the city walls and moat, and to take an orientation drive through residential areas, foreign consulate neighbourhoods, and markets, before returning to your hotel for the afternoon free at your leisure.
Meet at the hotel for your full day Elephant Learning excursion at the Elephant Nature Park (group tour). This is a group excursion. A picturesque drive through agricultural Thai countryside, along Mae Taeng Valley brings you to Elephant Nature Park. You will hear the personal stories of rescued elephants as told by expert guides. You will learn about the problems elephants face in Southeast Asia, and how the Elephant Nature Park is helping in the treatment, and care of Thailand's dwindling elephant population. After unloading and distributing some fruit you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform. A sumptuous buffet lunch is included today. Walk with the staff to the river along the park for bathing time. After learning how to safely and properly bathe an elephant, plunge right in and help scrub these giants as they splash around. If going into the river is not for you then watch the elephants bathe and play while you stay dry on the sandy shore. Around 5pm it's time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before the hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Fly to Phuket and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Take a full day group excursion to see the spectacular seascape of Phang Nga. Travel by boat through dramatic limestone scenery, passed islands and stunning ocean scenery. See mangroves, caves, cliff faces rising out of the sea, and enjoy lunch at an island before a stop at the island of Koh Khai for some R & R. Return back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
