Continue your journey to Jiayuguan and stop to see the Western Pass of the Great Wall and the underground tombs of the Wei and Jin Dynasties before concluding your trip in the ancient city of Xian, the eastern point of the Silk Road and home to the Terra Cotta Warriors.

Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met in the arrivals area by your local guide holding a name-board. After a warm welcome, take a private airport transfer to your hotel for assistance with check-in. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure.
Fly to Urumqi, the start of your Silk Road journey. Enjoy the balance of the day free at your leisure.
Driver northeast towards to the Heavenly Lake, flanked by pines, cypresses, and clear waters reflecting snow-capped peaks, and then head into the Nanshan Grasslands for insights into regional traditions and a visit inside a yurt. In the evening, explore the bustling outdoor bazaar.
Visit the Provincial Museum, Red Hill, and then head onward to Turpan. Pass by the scenic ‘Flaming Mountain’ and then visit the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Grottoes.
Visit the mysterious ruins of Jiaohe city, which have traces of affluent ancient trading centers and military bases from around sixteen-hundred years ago. Later, visit the underground water supply, irrigation system and the Museum of Karez along with the valley. Try some of the renowned fruit from Turpan and then stop by the Sugong Pagoda, an Islamic building also referred to as the Emin Minaret.
Take the high speed train to Dunhuang and in the early evening take some time to discover the Shazhou Night Market.
Visit the magnificent Mogao Grottoes, where, since 366 AD, devout Buddhists have built these 492 grottoes containing some of the most important Buddhist art in the world. Later, visit the Dunhuang Museum showcasing regional relics providing further insight into the regions rich history. A visit to the White Horse Pagoda is also included.
This morning, depart the hotel and drive to the Echoing Sand Dune to see Crescent Lake before taking some time to enjoy a camel ride in the Gobi Desert. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Jaiyuguan where you will check-in to your hotel for your two night stay.
Visit the Jiayuguan fortress and the Overhanging Great Wall followed by a visit to the Great Wall Museum and a visit to the Underground Tomb of the Wei & Jin Dynasties, celebrated as the largest subterranean art gallery in the world.
Fly to Xian, the eastern point of the Silk Road, and have the balance of the day free at your leisure.
Visit the extraordinary site of the Terra Cotta Warriors. Not discovered until 1974 by local farmers, the Warriors are among the most fascinating discoveries of modern day. Tour the site with insightful commentary before returning to the city to take a walk through the old quarter and to see the City Wall. Also today, stop by the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and then enjoy a Tang Dynasty Dinner & Show.
