Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be met for your transportation to the hotel. Receive assistance with check-in and have the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Begin your city tour visiting Tiananmen Square with an outside view of the National Grand Theater, Monument to the People’s Heroes, and the Great Hall of the People. Afterwards, head to the Forbidden City, the largest and the best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world, for a guided tour. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then stop by the Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Institute, which was designated to provide medicine for the royal pharmacy of the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty. You’ll return to the hotel for the rest of the day free at your leisure.
Looking like a gigantic dragon across deserts, grasslands and mountains, the Great Wall of China is one of the 'Eight Wonders of the World'. We tour the Juyongguan portion of the Great Wall in the morning and stop by a Jade Workshop where we will gain insight about precious jade. Afterwards, return to the city and drive by the Olympic Village and have a photo stop at the Bird’s Nest & Water Cube Stadiums.
Visit Suzhou’s Lotus Garden, also named the Couple's Garden, a cultural heritage site, and then stop by the silk embroidery factory for a demonstration on the silk-making process. Head onward to your next destination, Wuxi, and stop at the Tea-Pot Center, and then visit Li Garden, beautifully located on the banks of Tai Lake.
Head to Hangzhou, en route stopping at a Pearl Breeding Center for a short visit. On arrival in Hangzhou, take a boat ride on West Lake and then check-in to your hotel for the evening free at your leisure.
Visit the Dragon Well Tea Plantation to have a taste of the famous Dragon Well green tea, and then transfer to Shanghai and visit the historic Bund waterfront, and pedestrian-friendly Nanjing Road.
This morning, visit the Jade Buddha Temple, stop by a Jewel Store, and then return to the hotel for the afternoon free at your leisure. Optional evening activity available, please enquire.
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to the city of Yichang. Upon arrival enjoy lunch at a local restaurant following by the city tour of Yichang before embarking on your 4 night cruise along China’s mother river, the Yangtze.
Enjoy the morning at your leisure or join the excursion to the Three Gorges Tribe. In the afternoon, take the included shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Project site followed by a visit to hometown of Quyuan or ship lift. Ship departs from Maoping pier and sail into the west part of the Xiling Gorge. This evening, a welcome dinner is included on board. An optional excursion on own account will be offered by the cruiseline.
We arrive at Badong and disembark for the Shennong Stream excursion and see hanging coffins, natural scenery and hear Tuja Songs. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains and cliffs. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic of all the gorges. An optional excursion to White Emperor City and Boat Trackers act will be offered, on own account.
The appeal of the Yangtze lies not only in the river’s great natural beauty, but also its cultural and historical ties, which link nearby communities with the life-giving waters. An excursion to Jade King Palace is included today. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner on board. An optional excursion to Ghost City in Fengdu will be offered, on own account.
Disembark the cruise ship in the city of Chongqing and then meet and transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, take the shuttle bus to your hotel, and enjoy the rest of the evening free at your leisure.
This morning, enjoy a half-day tour of Hong Kong Island. Start with a ride up to Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the surrounding islands, and then pass by picturesque Repulse Bay. Proceed next to the colorful fishing village of Aberdeen following by a visit to Stanley Market and a prestigious jewelry factory. After your tour, you will be returned back to your pick-up location.
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, and take the shuttle bust to the airport for your departure flight. Check out is at 12 noon.
