Upon arrival in Tokyo, you will be met in the arrivals area of the airport and then assisted in boarding your reserved transportation to the hotel. After check-in at your hotel, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Stay two nights in Tokyo.
Take a half day orientation tour of the city sites, including the Imperial Palace (drive-by), the Tsukiji Outer Market, Tokyo Skytree Town, Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street, and then have the afternoon free at your leisure.
Depart the hotel for your guided tour of Mt. Fuji & Hakone en route to Kyoto. Visit Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, take a cruise on Lake Ashi for impressive views of Fuji, take a cable car ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake, and then head to Nagoya by bullet train where you will check-in for your one night stay.
Enjoy guided tours of the old towns of Magome and Tsumago. Travel by train, bus and foot, as you step back to a bygone era. Stroll along cobblestone streets, admire traditional homes and streets, and take in the sites with your guide’s narrative before taking the train onward to Kyoto where you’ll check-in for your three night stay.
Enjoy a full day tour of Kyoto and Nara. Highlights include the Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji-Temple, the Todai-ji Temple and Great Buddha in Nara, and the Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
Enjoy the full day at your leisure.
After breakfast, transfer via shuttle bus to Kansai International Airport for your departure flight.
Day 3: Stop to see Mt. Fuji on a guided tour.
Days 5: Take a full day tour of Kyoto and the old imperial capital, Nara.
