Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met in the arrivals area by your local guide holding a name-board. After a warm welcome, take a private airport transfer to your hotel for assistance with check-in. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure.
Take a full day to explore the city sites. Highlights include bustling Chinatown and the flower market, the Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, a Thai lunch, and a boat ride on the Chao Phraya River of Kings and residential canals, the Temple of Dawn, and more.

Depart Bangkok and head towards Kanchanaburi. En route, stop at the bridge over the River Kwai, War Museum, War Cemetery, and take a ride on the Death Railway train passing through lush forest for insight into a tragic period in the history of the region. Continue onward to the pier where you will take a short boat ride to your hotel on the river. Check-in, and enjoy dinner with a cultural show in the evening.

Depart Kanchanaburi and head towards Ayutthaya, the ancient Siamese capital. Today Ayutthaya hosts some of Thailand’s most important historical landmarks and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll visit some of the most interesting temples, including the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace. In the evening, check-in to your hotel for the evening at leisure.
Checkout and drive to Sukhothai, en route stopping in Phitsanulok to visit the impressive Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, a temple built in the 13th century, and the sacred "Buddha Jinaraj"- said to be one of the most beautiful Buddha statues in Thailand. A Thai lunch is included during your tour. Continue onward to Sukhothai and visit the impressive Historical Park of another of Siam’s former capitals, also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the night in Sukhothai.
Depart the hotel and visit Sri Satchanalai for further insight into the ancient Kingdom’s reign, and which contains some even more impressive sites. Both sites play a very important cultural and historical role in the development of today’s Thailand and are on the World Heritage List. Continue to Chiang Mai via Lampang, stopping to visit oldest teakwood temple, Wat Phratat Lampang Luang. On arrival in Chiang Mai, you’ll check-in for the evening at your leisure.
Today’s guided tour takes you around Northern Thailand’s most visited city for an up-close and personal look at some of its most notable temples, as well as stops at its old city walls, gates and moat. Highlights include the mountaintop temple of Wat Doi Suthep, other key temples in the city, some time to chat with monks, and a discovery of Chiang Mai’s oldest public market, a bustling marketplace of which can be both disorienting and exciting. Return to the hotel afterwards and have the night to yourself.
