Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be met in the arrivals area by your local guide holding a name-board. After a warm welcome and brief introduction, take a private airport transfer to your hotel for assistance with check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
This morning, take an excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to the city for a tour of city sites. Highlights include a photo stop at the Reunification Palace and visits to the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Chinatown, the Binh Tay Market and the Thien Hau Temple.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then checkout and drive to Cai Be town in the Mekong Delta and take a boat cruise to Cai Be River. You will have a chance to observe the lively activities on the river before visiting a village where you will see some family run businesses that produce rice cakes and rice paper. After eating lunch at a local house, you will proceed to Binh Hoa Phuoc islet for a sampan ride before disembarking at Vinh Long town for your drive to the largest city in the Mekong Delta, Can Tho where you will check-in to your hotel. The evening is free at your leisure.
Enjoy a morning boat cruise to the Cai Rang floating market full of small boats and vessels that deliver goods from all parts of the Mekong Delta. You can observe the bustle on the river as merchants trade their produce before continuing on to Ba Lang canal where you’ll stop at an orchard for a visit and to enjoy seasonal fruit. Afterwards, proceed to the town of Chau Doc where you’ll check-in to your hotel and have the evening free at your leisure.
Take the morning speedboat (shared) to Phnom Penh in Cambodia. In the afternoon, enjoy a half-day tour of the city’s most impressive sites. Gain insight into Cambodia's cultural heritage with a visit to the Royal Palace, still the official residence of King Norodom Sihamoni, and the adjacent Silver Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha. See the elegant National Museum, which contains a comprehensive collection of Khmer Art, and visit historic Wat Phnom, the city’s oldest shrine.
Fly to Siem Reap and begin your tour of the temples of Angkor. With your guide, explore Angkor Thom, the Bayon, Angkor Wat, and more!
Visit the Banteay Srei Temple, built in the 10th century and arguably one of the most impressive of Angkorian art with some of the finest stone carvings you'll find in Cambodia. Later, visit Ta Prohm, the famed temple taken over by trees, and then visit a local monastery for insights into local monkhood. The evening is free at your leisure.
After breakfast, meet your local guide in the hotel lobby at the appointed time and then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
