Upon your arrival at the Cairo International Airport, you will collect your luggage and complete arrival and visa formalities before exiting into the designated arrivals hall where you will be met by your English speaking representative holding a name-board. Receive a warm welcome and walk to the waiting vehicle for transportation by private vehicle to your hotel.
Meet your English speaking Egyptologist guide to start your guided tour to visit the great Pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus), one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). This afternoon, visit the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, established by the Egyptian government in 1835. Afterwards a short drive through the downtown will take you to Khan El Khalili bazaar, which is one of the most famous worldwide with its maze of narrow alleyways. The visitor can discover small restaurants and workaday cafes where Egyptians & non-Egyptians come to smoke water pipes and enjoy some of the traditional Egyptian drinks in the cafes scattered around the area.
Fly to Luxor and embark on your four night cruise along the Nile River. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour to visit the Karnak & Luxor temples on the East bank. Your guide will escort you back to the boat where you will enjoy dinner and evening activities on-board.
At the appointed time this morning, meet and enjoy a guided tour to visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple at El Dier El Bahary, and colossi of Memnon on the west bank. Return to the ship for lunch on board and then continue sailing to Edfu via Esna. Enjoy afternoon tea and later the Captain’s welcome cocktail and dinner on board.
Enjoy breakfast on board and then a guided tour to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Take some time to visit and then return to the ship for lunch on board. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the Kom Ombo Temple which is unique as it is a double temple consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris. Later, enjoy afternoon tea and dinner on board with cultural activities as you sail to Aswan.
Today, enjoy a guided tour to visit the High Dam, the unfinished obelisk and Philae Temple. Then, proceed to visit the majestic Philae Temple. Afterwards, return to the ship for lunch on board and then take an excursion sailing on the Nile by felucca around Kitchener’s Island, viewing the Agha Khan mausoleum. Return to your ship and enjoy dinner on board with night entertainment.
Disembark this morning and your representative and driver will be waiting for you as you exit the ship and will escort you to the airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, you will be met at the airport for your transportation to the hotel for check-in. The balance of the day is free at your leisure. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and at the appointed time your driver will meet you in the hotel and then transfer you to the airport for your flight to Amman. Upon your arrival at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, complete arrival formalities and receive a warm welcome and walk to the waiting vehicle for transportation by private car/van to your hotel in Petra (approx. 3 hours).
With your guide, enter the gates of the past as you enter one of the new world wonders, the ancient city of Petra. Take time with your guide to explore the site with expert narrative (2 hours), and then have some time to discover at your leisure.
Meet at the hotel and depart for the desert of Wadi Rum, one of Jordan’s most notable attractions. Enjoy a 2 hour 4x4 jeep tour to explore the vast desert-scape. After your jeep tour, you will check-in to the camp for your night in this starkly beautiful and mesmerizingly captivating part of the world. Dinner is included at the camp.
Meet your driver at the appointed time and depart for Madaba and Mt. Nebo. Stop at the unique Monastery on Mt. Nebo and then see the impressive landscape views of where Moses viewed the Promised Land. While in Madaba, a Christian town, learn why it’s called the ‘City of Mosaics’ as you admire the historic mosaic work, most notably a mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue on to Amman for an orientation tour of the city. The site which is known as the Citadel includes many structures such as the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the Byzantine Church. At the foot of the Citadel lies the 6,000 seat Roman Theatre, which is a deep-sided bowl carved into the hill and which is still used for cultural events. After your tour, head to the hotel for check-in and have the remainder of the day free at your leisure.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then meet at the appointed time for your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Days 3 to 7: Take an incredible cruise along the Nile River seeing villages, temples, ruins, and everything in between.
