Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be met for transportation to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Enjoy a full day tour exploring Tel Aviv and the old port city of Jaffa. Highlights include the State of Mind Innovation Center, Rothschild Boulevard, a walk around Jaffa’s ancient streets, and a culinary introduction at the Carmel Market.
Travel North visiting the ancient city of Caesarea en route to a kibbutz for local insight and then on to the Sea of Galilee where you’ll check-in for your two night stay.
Drive to the city of Katzrin and walk through a local village before stopping at a family-owned boutique winery. Later, take a boat ride on the calm waters of the Sea of Galilee and then stop to see the mystical city of Tzfat.
Depart the hotel and visit the crusader port city of Akko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See new excavations for insight revealing what life was like 1000 years ago, visit Crusader Halls, underground tunnels, fortifications, the Arab bazaar, and more. Continue on to the city of Haifa to see the Bahai Gardens on the northern slope of Mt. Carmel and then head onward to Jerusalem where you’ll check-in to your hotel followed by an evening Shabbat dinner.
Set off east from Jerusalem towards the Dead Sea, 1388 feet (423m) below sea level. Visit the legendary mountaintop plateau of Masada the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their struggle against the Romans in 73CE overlooking the Dead Sea. Ascend by cable car to the ancient fortress and explore the site, with its synagogue and bathhouse. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the Dead Sea shore. Cake yourself in mineral rich mud and float in the buoyant waters. Drive to a lookout point for a view of Wadi Qelt and the cliff hanging Monastery of St. George, founded in the 5th Century and still active and inhabited by Greek Orthodox monks. Afterwards, you will return to Jerusalem and in the evening enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Tower of David.
Start the day with an overview from the Mt. of Olives followed by an exploration of the Old City of Jerusalem. Begin with the City of David, see the historic tunnels, visit the Western Wall, and walk along the Cardo, an ancient commercial street. Stroll through the vibrant bazaar, take a rooftop tour of the Old City neighbourhoods for a behind the scenes look at the various communities living alongside each other, and then walk along part of the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Return to the hotel and have the evening free at your leisure.
Visit Yad Vashem, considered to be the world’s primary Holocaust memorial and museum, and then visit the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition. Later, you’ll have the option to visit Bethlehem or to have some free time at Mamilla Mall or along Ben Yehuda Street. The evening concludes with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then meet at the appointed time for your transfer to the airport for your departure flight out of Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.
