The health and safety of our travelers, local teams, and staff, remain our top priority, and through the pandemic this priority has remained steadfast while being hardened by implementing a refined set of standards. Precautionary measures are in place within our destination network to encourage a clean and safe travel experience. These are based on current guidelines and will be updated as more information becomes available, perhaps destinations by destination, to ensure we comply with Health Authorities’ and Governmental guidelines.
On top of this, we have modified our Payment and Cancellation terms to be more flexible giving you greater freedom in your travel purchase options. As tailor-made travel specialists, our trip designers will happily work with you in planning a trip made-to-fit while keeping terms flexible and deposits minimal, where possible. Where this is not possible due to airline, supplier, or hotelier payment and cancellation terms, this will be clearly indicated to you during the booking process where you will be given the freedom to choose whether you’d like to commit, or perhaps make some changes, ensuring you greater freedom and flexibility.

In understanding the scale of the impact of COVID-19 to your travel and holiday planning, Tour East Holidays is adjusting its payment and cancellation terms for bookings made from now to September 30, 2021 to give you enhanced flexibility and security. These terms will be reviewed and updated as may be required at a later date.
The following terms are in general and are applicable to Tour reservations only. For any air reservations, airline terms and conditions will apply. Please note that for select tours in select destinations, additional deposits or revised final payment dates may apply. Our Tour Specialists will keep you well informed during the booking process.
A reduced deposit of only $200 is payable by each guest at time of booking to secure the reservation.
The final payment is due 30 days prior to departure.
Up until 15 days prior to departure, changes to another trip and/or destination are permitted and the amount paid can be used as a credit towards your new booking with Tour East Holidays of equal or greater value. If you choose a new trip that is of a higher price, you are responsible for the difference in price. If you choose a new trip that is of a lower price, the difference is not refundable but will be provided to you as a future credit.
As tailor-made and custom travel specialists, where additional deposits or a stricter cancellation policy may apply due to airline, supplier, or hotelier payment and cancellation terms (3rd parties), this will be clearly indicated to you during the booking process where you will be giving the freedom to choose whether you’d like to commit or perhaps make some changes giving you greater freedom and flexibility.
Air tickets and/or any other services booked by a third party and not Tour East Holidays.
Valid for new bookings made from now until May 31, 2021 for travel from February 1, 2021 – November 30, 2021. This is not applicable for those who may already be holding Tour East Holidays future travel credits.

All of our guides, drivers & representatives in-destination have had extensive re-training for service and hospitality in the new COVID-19 era. With this training comes a mandate to wear masks and to practice appropriate physical distancing during their time with you. Guides and Drivers will have regular temperature checks to ensure they remain healthy and will ensure you have easy access to hand sanitizer and/or sanitizing wipes as well as masks.
All private vehicles used during your trip, whether it be for airport transport, a day tour, or a long haul transfer, are carefully sanitized with cleanliness maintained throughout your service. All private vehicles will be stocked with hand sanitizer and/or sanitization wipes.
We continue to follow our selective process to vet hotels that we use on our trips, however this process has been refined and has evolved to take on a more careful selection of hotels that not only meet our standards but also heightened cleanliness protocols that have been implemented. This not only applies to the cleanliness and sanitization of the rooms, but also to common areas, restaurants, and other facilities.
For any included meals, these will be booked and/or reserved at establishments that we know have implemented strict health, safety, and cleanliness protocols to help mitigate traveler risk. In many cases, this may mean that it is safest, and therefore advisable, to take your meals at vetted hotel restaurants. Not all meals are included, giving you greater flexibility during your trip, in which case your local guides and drivers will be an invaluable resource when selecting appropriate places to dine.
We will continue the approach to avoid crowds as best as possible, including the continued practice of visiting some sites in certain destinations before or after the typical peak visiting periods. This increases enjoyment as travelers visit sites with less visitors, but in this new era it also gives greater peace of mind. Your tour guides will continue to be sensitive to the needs of travelers, including this increased level of protection and control while visiting sites and partaking in local experiences, so where this may not be possible, your guide will keep you well-informed and in control of your experience.
New and refined health and hygiene protocols including physical distancing, surface sanitization, face masks, and more, have been implemented by select airlines to offer peace of mind and a safer flying experience. In addition to greater flexibility with Payment, Cancellation & Change terms, we remain flexible in the booking and experience process. For private tailor-made trips, our Trip Designers will continue to work closely with you during the Trip Planning process to ensure the trip is made-to-fit, and your Tour Guides and Drivers in-destination will continue to manage your experiences in a fun, flexible, and enjoyable manner, including any necessary changes, to ensure you feel comfortable and safe.
